Strawberry Candy Daylily is a beautiful daylily that blooms more often than a common daylily will. The draw-dropping multi-pink colored flowers are impossible to not look at every time you walk by! Daylilies are easy to grow, and this is a variety that you should have growing in your yard. They have a very long blooming period from summer to early fall. They are hardy all the way down to zone 3 and can handle the heat up to zone 9. They love to grow in full sun to part shade, you will typically get more blooms with more light. They prefer moist, well-drained soil and are very easy for the novice gardener to grow as they require nearly no care once established. They grow up to 3' in height, and they attract butterflies and hummingbirds - awesome! Daylilies in general are often called the perfect perennial because of how beautiful they are, and how easy they are to take care of. The scientific name is Hemerocallis, and it is a perennial plant that fully regrows from the ground up every spring. This is considered a reblooming daylily.
