The Fortunei Hyacinthina is a very large growing green hosta that grows beautiful purple flowers. This is a very old variety that has been around for a long time! The large, thick leaves that emerge in early to mid spring will heavily cover the ground preventing weeds or grass from growing underneath. This hosta easily spans 6’ ft wide and can reach 3’ft tall. Hyacinthina Hosta is a good plant to have to grow in shade areas or areas that get at least half a day of shade as to much sun will burn the leaves. This is what this variety of hosta looks like.
